Here’s a page from my book, Metal: A Field Guide of Mechanical Armor to Color , that was colored by a fan who kindly purchased it a while back.
Thanks for sharing it with me, Nate!!

The last couple of months have been busy and full of ups and downs. One of them being a change of location. Things are starting to settle down some and I’ll be getting back to my usual (and favorite) activities. I did manage to get some art time in so here’s a couple of quickly cleaned up and finished pieces of line art…
I hope you like these. And expect more stuff to come as I get back into my regular creative flow. Good day!!
The Steam Dragon! This was a real fun project that I did for my daughter a little while back.
-Micron Pigma Pens, Copic Markers, white acrylic paint, and white colored pencils on bristol board.
Over this last weekend I took a little trip to Chicago over the weekend for my 55th birthday. I know that you’re probably asking yourself, “why anyone would go to Chicago in January?”
I’ll leave you to ponder that question as you check out a few of the sketches I drew during my quite enjoyable trip to the Windy City…
Don’t forget that “Metal: A Field Guide of Mechanical Armor to Color” is available right now on Amazon!!
This was a fun bit to do and now I’m declaring it finished!
That is till I notice something I don’t like and fiddle with it some more. (That’s a habit I think I need to learn to curb…)
I’ve also placed it here…Color Work
This little project started out as a bit of relaxing fun and has evolved into a bigger project. And a learning exercise, as well. I love being able to push my skill set further AND have fun while doing it. This started out as little drawing done on a dare by my son who had challenged me with attempting to draw a mecha based on the ones from the anime, Zoids. The line art sat for quite a while till I dug it out to indulge myself coloring it.
I’m using Clip Studio Ex for the color work here.
